Get to Know the Cadillac XTS History

The Cadillac XTS is a relatively new model, having just debuted in 2013, when it replaced the DTS and STS, becoming the new flagship sedan for the brand. The 2013 XTS had a sport-like and modern appearance that made it seem nimble. It came standard with Magnetic Ride Control, rear air springs, real wood trim, adaptive remote start, a cap-less fuel filler, and HID headlights. All models had a 3.6-liter V6 with 304 horsepower and the choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. It also featured the innovative Safety Alert Seat, Lane Departure Warning, Side Blind Zone Alert, and automatic front and rear brakes.

The 2014 Cadillac XTS got a newly available 3.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine for 410 horsepower that always works with all-wheel drive. This model year also added memory for the front passenger seat, a rear armrest featuring sunshade control, IntelliBeam headlamps, and rear-seat entertainment. Models with front-wheel drive for that model year also received automatic parking assist and electric power steering. For 2015, the rear seats on the Platinum and the Platinum Vsport got sunshade and radio controls. The Platinum Collection got the 22-way power-adjustable heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats. Newly available features included 19-inch wheels, power-folding side mirrors, and lane assist for front-wheel drive. Cadillac added an optional 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and Apple CarPlay for 2015.
